Caramelized Apple French Toast

This is yummy! You can slightly lighten it up using eggbeaters and low fat milk.

Ingredientes

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 T Karo (light colored one)
  • 6 T butter
  • 3 apples (Granny Smith works best), peeled, cored and sliced
  • 6 slices day old thick-sliced bread
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 t vanilla

Direcciones

  1. Combine sugar, Karo, and butter in small sauce pan and bring to a boil, boiling for 1 minute.
  2. Por into a greased 9X13 pan.
  3. Place sliced apples on top of caramel.
  4. Place bread on top of apples.
  5. Refrigerate overnight.
  6. Take out of fridge 30 minutes before baking.
  7. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes until brown and slightly puffy.
