Ingredientes
- 2 cups plus 2 tbsp of all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, at room temperature.
- 1 cup sugar ( I only added 1/2 cup as we don't like our cake too sweet)
- 4 Large eggs
- 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 tsp cardamom powder
- 2 1/2 tsp instant coffee powder mixed with 1 tablespoon of hot water

.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20made%20this%20cake%20last%20week%20Wednesday%20when%20I%20asked%20my%20in%20laws%20for%20coffee%20and%20Wanted%20to%20Show%20the%20dresses%20Hans%20brought%20back%20from%20Delhi.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20all%20loved%20the%20cake,%20and%20loved%20the%20cardamom%20taste%20in%20it,%20there%20was%20coffee%20too%20in%20the%20cake%20but%20I%20think%20the%20cardamom%20taste%20over%20powered%20to%20have%20coffee%20taste.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20served%20with%20coffee%20and%20also%20everybody%20butterd%20the%20slices%20of%20cake%20before%20they%20ate%20which%20gave%20it%20a%20extra%20pluse%20undulgence%20and%20taste%20:-)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20recipe%20is%20from%20one%20of%20my%20favourtie%20Baking%20books,%20Baking%20From%20my%20home%20to%20yours%20by%20Dorie%20Greenspan.%20I%20do%20have%20to%20admit%20what%20ever%20I%20have%20made%20from%20her%20book%20always%20comes%20out%20perfect%20and%20delicious.%20A%20book%20one%20should%20have%20if%20you%20love%20baking.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECenter%20the%20rack%20in%20thr%20oven%20and%20preheat%20the%20oven%20to%20325%20degrees%20F.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EButter%20an%208%201/2%20-%20x-4%201/2%20-%20x-2%201/2%20inch%20loaf%20pan,%20dust%20yhr%20inside%20with%20the%20flour%20and%20tap%20out%20the%20excesss.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhisk%20together%20the%20flour%20,%20baking%20powder%20and%20salt.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWorking%20with%20a%20stand%20mixer,%20preferbly%20fitted%20with%20a%20paddl%20attachment,%20or%20with%20a%20hand%20mixer%20in%20a%20large%20bowl,%20beat%20the%20butter%20on%20a%20medium%20speed%20untill%20smooth%20about%203%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20the%20sugar%20and%20beat%20for%20another%202%20to%203%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20the%20eggs%20one%20at%20a%20time%20,%20beating%20well%20after%20each%20addition.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDon't%20be%20concerened%20%20if%20the%20batter%20curdles%20and%20stays%20curdled%20-%20it%20will%20be%20fine.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBeat%20the%20vanilla.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EReduce%20the%20mixer%20speed%20to%20low%20and%20alternatley%20add%20the%20flour%20mixture%20in%203%20additions%20and%20the%20milk%20in%202%20%20(%20begin%20and%20end%20with%20the%20dry%20ingridients),%20mixing%20only%20untill%20each%20addition%20is%20oncorporated.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAt%20this%20poin%20you%20are%20ready%20to%20divide%20the%20batter,%20add%20in%20on%20hald%20of%20the%20batter%20cardamom%20powder%20and%20in%20the%20pther%20half%20the%20coffee.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESppon%20the%20batter%20out%20in%20long%20a%20alternative%20rows.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBake%20the%20cake%20for%201%20hour%20and%2020%20to%2030%20minutes,%20or%20untill%20a%20thin%20knife%20inserted%20deep%20into%20the%20center%20come%20out%20clean.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20the%20cake%20is%20looking%20as%20it%20is%20getting%20too%20brown%20during%20its%20bake,%20cover%20it%20loosley%20with%20a%20foil.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETransfer%20the%20cake%20to%20a%20cooling%20rack%20and%20let%20it%20rest%20for%20about%2015%20minutes%20before%20unfolding,%20then%20cool%20the%20cake%20to%20room%20temperature.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
