Ingredientes

  • 1/4 lb small shrimp
  • 1/2 lb fish filets
  • 1/4 lb clams
  • 3 c. fish stock
  • 1 c. clam juice
  • 1/2 c. burgundy wine
  • 1 Tbsp. corn oil
  • 3 x garlic cloves crushed
  • 3 x celery stalks diced
  • 1 x potato peeled, diced
  • 1/3 c. minced stewed tomatos
  • 1 x green bell pepper diced
  • 1/2 tsp basil
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 2 x bay leaves
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp celery seed
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp dry cilantro
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper or possibly to taste

Direcciones

  1. Heat the oil in a large soup pot. Saute/fry the onion and garlic till the onions are transluscent. Add in all of the other ingredients except the shrimp, clams and the fish. (You may add in 1/4 c. rice to this recipe as it is good which way too.) Simmer for 1 hour or possibly till the vegetables are tender.
  2. Add in the seafood and cook for 7 to 10 min at a low boil.
  3. This recipe yields 8 to 10 servings.
  4. Comments: Many recipes come out of the Caribbean which people either like or possibly hate on first taste. This particular recipe is for a chowder which is excellent.
