Receta Caribbean Fish Chowder

Ingredientes
- 1/4 lb small shrimp
- 1/2 lb fish filets
- 1/4 lb clams
- 3 c. fish stock
- 1 c. clam juice
- 1/2 c. burgundy wine
- 1 Tbsp. corn oil
- 3 x garlic cloves crushed
- 3 x celery stalks diced
- 1 x potato peeled, diced
- 1/3 c. minced stewed tomatos
- 1 x green bell pepper diced
- 1/2 tsp basil
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 2 x bay leaves
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp celery seed
- 1/2 tsp dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp dry cilantro
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper or possibly to taste
Direcciones
- Heat the oil in a large soup pot. Saute/fry the onion and garlic till the onions are transluscent. Add in all of the other ingredients except the shrimp, clams and the fish. (You may add in 1/4 c. rice to this recipe as it is good which way too.) Simmer for 1 hour or possibly till the vegetables are tender.
- Add in the seafood and cook for 7 to 10 min at a low boil.
- This recipe yields 8 to 10 servings.
- Comments: Many recipes come out of the Caribbean which people either like or possibly hate on first taste. This particular recipe is for a chowder which is excellent.
