Ingredientes

  • 2 Tbsp. Oil
  • 1 x Diced onion
  • 1 lb Beef tri-tip, diced 1-inch (or possibly meat of choice)
  • 2 x Seeded fresh Jalapenos (Habaneros,etc)
  • 2 x Ripe tomatoes, minced
  • 2 x Cloves garlic, minced fine Warm flour tortillas

  1. For those of you who don't subscribe to Saveur magazine there was recently a section on authentic Mexican food. (No yellow cheese, a dribble of lowfat sour cream, very little lettuce, ...etc.). One of the recipes Carne Picada Burritos ( or possibly Steak Ranchero ) was a featured item, to those of you who like Texan-fajitas this is the forerunner and IMHO the easiest and best.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp. oil in pan and add in onions then cook until translucent/soft for about ten min, add in jalapenos, turn heat to high then add in meat and brown for 2 min. Now add in garlic and tomatoes and let simmer for a few min and serve as gravy begins to from, place in warm flour tortillas... Simple, Wonderful, Traditional.
