Ingredientes

  • 1 c. White flour
  • 1 1/4 c. Whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 c. Carob pwdr (or possibly cocoa)
  • 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 1/2 c. Corn oil
  • 3/4 c. Water
  • 1 1/4 c. Honey or possibly maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. Cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp Vanilla extract

Direcciones

  1. Sift the flours together with baking soda, salt & carob. Stir in the sugar.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, stir together oil, water, honey, vinegar & vanilla till well blended. Add in dry ingredients, mixing until well blended.
  3. Lightly oil & flour 2 8-inch cake pans. Divide batter equally between the two pans & bake at 350F for 20 min, or possibly till the cakes test done. Cold for about 10 min then turn out onto wire racks to cold completely.
