Cheddar Chive Drop Biscuits

Ingredientes

  • 2 c. all-purpose flour (500 mL)
  • 1 Tbsp. baking pwdr (15 mL)
  • 1/2 tsp salt (2 mL)
  • 1/3 c. butter at room temperature, cut into pcs (75 mL)
  • 1 c. old Cheddar cheese shredded coarse (250 mL)
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh chives minced (25 mL)
  • 1 1/2 c. buttermilk (300 mL) Additional minced chives

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 400=BAF (200=BAC).
  2. Combine flour, baking pwdr and salt in a large bowl. Cut in butter using a pastry blender or possibly a fork to make coarse crumbs. Add in Cheddar and chives.
  3. Stir in buttermilk, just sufficient to make a soft sticky dough. Drop 12 heaping tablespoonfuls onto a large greased baking sheet. Sprinkle tops with additional minced chives.
  4. Bake on middle rack of oven for 18 to 20 min, or possibly till edges are coloured. Transfer biscuits to a rack to cold.
