,%20we%20spent%20the%20rest%20of%20the%20day%20cleaning%20and%20organizing%20the%20garage.%20Organization%20makes%20me%20happy.%20A%20clean%20garage%20makes%20the%20hubby%20happy.%20Everybody%20wins.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI'm%20spending%20today%20inside,%20doing%20laundry%20and%20cleaning%20out%20the%20basement.%20(Does%20anyone%20have%20need%20of%20a%204-foot%20stuffed%20Pepe%20Le%20Pew?%20Anyone?%20Bueller?)%20The%20hubby%20and%20I%20were%20going%20to%20finish%20our%20garage%20project,%20but%20the%20hubby%20got%20called%20away%20to%20do%20bales%20at%20his%20ma's%20ranch.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI'm%20not%20allowed%20to%20do%20bales,%20even%20when%20I%20am%20not%20heavy%20with%20child.%20The%20hubby%20and%20his%20sisters%20grew%20up%20tossing%2080-pound%20bales%20of%20hay.%20I%20was%20town%20folk;%20I%20can%20barely%20lift%20a%20rake.%20When%20I%20go%20with%20for%20baling,%20my%20official%20job%20is%20to%20stay%20in%20the%20kitchen%20where%20I%20belong%20and%20feed%20people.%20Again,%20everybody%20wins.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBut%20I%20stayed%20home%20today,%20and%20I'm%20taking%20a%20quick%20break%20from%20my%20projects%20to%20make%20a%20pot%20of%20fiesta%20beef%20soup.%20I%20thought%20it%20might%20go%20well%20with%20the%20leftover%20cheddar-garlic%20biscuits%20from%20lunch%20yesterday.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThese%20biscuits%20are%20supposedly%20a%20knock-off%20of%20the%20cheddar%20biscuits%20you%20get%20at%20Red%20Lobster,%20and%20I%20love%20them.%20They're%20actually%20very%20easy%20to%20make%20--%20no%20rolling%20out%20the%20dough!%20--%20and%20they%20turned%20out%20fabulously.%20Everyone%20thought%20the%20biscuits%20tasted%20just%20like%20the%20real%20thing.%20The%20trick%20seems%20to%20be%20the%20garlicky%20melted%20butter%20that's%20brushed%20over%20the%20biscuits%20when%20they%20come%20out%20of%20the%20oven.%20I%20have%20a%20feeling%20I'll%20be%20asked%20to%20make%20these%20on%20a%20regular%20basis.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECheddar-Garlic%20Biscuits%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMakes%201%20dozen%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1.%20Preheat%20oven%20to%20400%20degrees.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2.%20Combine%20Bisquick%20and%204%20Tbsp.%20butter%20in%20a%20medium%20bowl%20using%20a%20pastry%20cutter.%20The%20butter%20should%20be%20about%20the%20size%20of%20small%20peas.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3.%20Add%20cheese,%20milk,%20and%201/4%20tsp.%20garlic%20powder.%20Mix%20by%20hand%20just%20until%20ingredients%20are%20combined.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4.%20Using%20an%20ice%20cream%20scoop,%20drop%20portions%20(about%201/4%20c.%20each)%20onto%20a%20baking%20sheet.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E5.%20Bake%2015-17%20minutes,%20or%20until%20biscuits%20are%20golden.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E6.%20Combine%202%20Tbsp.%20butter,%201/2%20tsp.%20garlic%20powder,%20parsley%20flakes,%20and%20salt%20in%20a%20small%20saucepan%20over%20medium-low%20heat.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E7.%20Brush%20melted%20butter%20over%20the%20tops%20of%20biscuits%20(use%20all%20the%20butter%20mixture).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMmm%20...%20biscuits%20...%20Charlie%20wants%20some%20biscuits%20...%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
