.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESometimes%20one%20random%20ingredient%20can%20be%20the%20catapult%20to%20multiple%20delicious%20results.%20That%20was%20the%20case%20when%20I%20received%20a%20bottle%20of%20Mandarano%20Balsamic%20Glaze%20&%20Sauce,%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20love%20balsamic%20vinegar.%20Having%20a%20whole%20bottle%20of%20the%20glaze%20on%20hand?%20Oh%20yes....I%20was%20in%20a%20little%20bit%20of%20heaven.%20The%20tangy%20sweetness%20beckoned%20to%20me%20on%20so%20many%20levels.%20From%20sweet%20to%20savory%20and%20somewhere%20in%20between.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20first%20thing%20I%20did%20when%20I%20got%20home%20from%20work%20and%20opened%20the%20box%20was%20to%20make%20a%20drink.%20Not%20just%20any%20drink...I%20mean...a%20real%20drink.%20And%20yes,%20I%20used%20the%20Mandarano%20Balsamic%20Glaze%20&%20Sauce%20in%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThink...Arnold%20Palmer%20gone%20wild.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGrab%20a%20shaker,%20filled%20almost%20to%20the%20top%20with%20ice.%20Fill%20half%20way%20with%20some%20good%20limoncello.%20Add%20a%20teaspoon%20or%20two%20(depending%20on%20your%20preference)%20of%20Mandarano%20Balsamic%20Glaze%20&%20Sauce.%20Shake%20vigorously.%20Strain%20into%20a%20cocktail%20glass%20and%20top%20off%20with%20some%20club%20soda.%20(If%20I%20had%20had%20a%20lemon%20on%20hand,%20I%20would've%20garnished%20my%20cocktail%20with%20a%20wedge.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERepeat%20as%20necessary.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20balsamic%20cuts%20the%20edge%20off%20the%20sweetness%20of%20the%20limoncello%20and%20adds%20a%20little%20something%20extra%20while%20the%20club%20soda%20takes%20the%20intensity%20levels%20down%20(as%20both%20balsamic%20and%20limoncello%20have%20very%20strong%20flavors).%20It%20was%20interesting%20to%20see%20how%20they%20all%20worked%20together%20rather%20than%20fighting%20each%20other%20to%20see%20who%20would%20overpower%20whom.%20Mmmm%20mmmm%20mmmm.%20Good%20stuff!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENext%20up...since%20I%20was%20in%20the%20height%20of%20tomato%20picking%20and%20I%20had%20mounds%20of%20basil...%20my%20taste%20bud%20senses%20and%20cravings%20where%20on%20a%20caprese%20level.%20Of%20course%20I%20used%20Mandarano%20Balsamic%20Glaze%20&%20Sauce%20on%20a%20standard%20caprese%20salad.%20That's%20a%20no-brainer.%20But%20what%20about%20a%20pizza?%20With%20some%20chicken%20that's%20been%20marinating%20in%20balsmic?%20No%20you're%20talking!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EInstead%20of%20a%20marinara%20sauce,%20just%20drizzle%20the%20dough%20with%20olive%20oil.%20Add%20lots%20of%20mozzarella%20cheese,%20some%20tomato%20slices,%20the%20chicken,%20throw%20in%20some%20red%20onions%20for%20good%20measure,%20sprinkle%20on%20some%20roughly%20chopped%20fresh%20basil%20and%20bake.%20Just%20before%20serving,%20drizzle%20some%20of%20that%20Mandarano%20Balsamic%20Glaze%20&%20Sauce%20over%20the%20top%20and%20there%20you%20go.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBtw....did%20you%20know%20that%20you%20can%20buy%20fresh%20pizza%20dough%20from%20Whole%20Foods?%20Don't%20go%20looking%20in%20the%20refrigerator%20or%20freezer%20section.%20Go%20to%20the%20%22food%20court%22%20section...right%20up%20to%20the%20pizza%20counter%20and%20they'll%20bag%20up%20a%20nice%20ole%20wad%20of%20dough%20for%20you.%20For%20a%20price%20of%20course...but%20hey....if%20you're%20there%20already%20and%20you%20don't%20have%20time%20to%20make%20your%20own%20when%20you%20get%20home...its%20way%20better%20than%20anything%20you%20can%20get%20at%20the%20other%20markets.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20now%20for%20the%20ultimate%20balsamic%20glaze%20application%20of%20all.....strawberries.%20There's%20just%20something%20deliciously...I%20dunno,%20complete?%20that%20happens%20when%20you%20combine%20those%20two.%20Take%20it%20to%20another%20level%20by%20injecting%20a%20bit%20of%20scotch%20whiskey%20blend....then%20heap%20that%20whole%20hot%20mess%20on%20top%20of%20cheesecake....and......I%20have%20no%20words.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI'll%20just%20tell%20ya%20what%20to%20do....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20cheesecake%20recipe%20is%20always%20the%20same%20as%20this%20is%20%22the%20best%20cheesecake%20ever!%22%20All%20I%20do%20is%20change%20the%20topping%20to%20whatever%20fits%20the%20mood.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECheesecake%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20your%20oven%20to%20325'.%20Place%20a%20baking%20dish%20on%20the%20rack%20below%20where%20you%20plan%20on%20baking%20your%20cake.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECrust:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20the%20crust:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECombine%20ingredients.%20Pat%20on%20the%20bottom%20of%20a%20spring%20form%20pan%20and%20up%20the%20sides%20a%20little.%20Place%20in%20the%20refrigerator%20while%20mixing%20the%20filling%20together.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20the%20filling:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBeat%20the%20cream%20cheese%20until%20smooth.%20Blend%20in%20remaining%20ingredients.%20Pour%20into%20your%20graham%20cracker%20crust.%20Place%20in%20the%20middle%20rack%20in%20your%20oven.%20Pour%201%20cup%20of%20hot%20water%20into%20a%20dish%20(such%20as%20a%20roasting%20pan)%20on%20a%20rack%20below%20your%20cheesecake.%20Bake%20for%201%20hour,%20turning%20the%20cake%20180'%20halfway%20through.%20If%20needed,%20add%20another%20cup%20of%20hot%20water%20to%20the%20baking%20dish.%20This%20helps%20prevent%20big%20cracks%20by%20providing%20a%20humid%20atmosphere%20within%20your%20oven.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20the%20Sour%20Cream%20Topping:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECombing%20the%20ingredients%20and%20pour%20on%20top%20of%20the%20cheesecake.%20Bake%20for%20an%20additional%2010%20minutes.%20Cool%20and%20refrigerate%20for%20several%20hours%20or%20over%20night.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EA%20few%20hours%20before%20serving,%20make%20the%20ultimate%20Strawberry%20Balsamic%20Glaze%20as%20follows:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1%201/2%20TB%20cornstarch%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1/2%20water%20plus%203%20TB%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2%20TB%20scotch%20whiskey%20blend%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1%20TB%20orange%20liqueur%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2%20TB%20sugar%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2%20cups%20crushed%20strawberries%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1%20TB%20Mandarano%20Balsamic%20Glaze%20&%20Sauce%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhole%20strawberries%20for%20garnishing%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20small%20bowl,%20dissolve%20the%20cornstarch%20in%20the%203%20TB%20water.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20saucepan,%20over%20medium%20heat,%20bring%20the%20remaining%201/2%20cup%20water,%20%20the%20scotch%20whiskey%20blend,%20orange%20liqueur%20and%20sugar%20to%20a%20boil.%20%20Stir%20in%20the%20cornstarch%20mixture%20and%20heat,%20stirring%20constantly%20until%20everything%20thickens.%20%20If%20too%20thick,%20add%20a%20bit%20of%20water%20(1%20TB%20at%20a%20time).%20If%20too%20thin,%20add%20a%20bit%20of%20cornstarch%20(1/2%20tsp%20at%20a%20time).%20Stir%20in%20the%20crushed%20strawberries%20and%20balsamic%20glaze.%20If%20you%20want%20a%20stronger%20balsamic%20presence,%20add%20another%20TB.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20everything%20into%20a%20bowl%20and%20set%20the%20bowl%20inside%20a%20larger%20bowl%20that%20contains%20ice%20water.%20Stir%20to%20cool.%20Spread%20over%20the%20top%20of%20your%20chilled%20cheesecake.%20Chill%20an%20additional%202%20hours.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOr....just%20pour%20the%20whole%20thing%20over%20the%20top...and%20serve%20as%20is....one%20big%20beautiful%20hot%20nirvana-ish%20mess.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20there%20you%20have%20it.%20Balsamic%20Glaze%20all%20over%20the%20place....from%20cocktail,%20to%20pizza%20to%20cheesecake.%20Hmm...I%20wonder%20how%20it%20would%20taste%20to%20have%20the%20balsamic%20glaze%20directly%20in%20the%20cheesecake.%20Well%20shoot...after%20all%20this...and%20my%20daughters%20dipping%20into%20the%20goods...I%20have%20none%20left%20to%20test%20that%20out.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20think%20I%20need%20more.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20want%20to%20thank%20Mandarano%20for%20sharing%20their%20delicious%20Balsamic%20Glaze%20with%20me.%20It%20has%20been%20a%20pleasure%20to%20play%20with%20and%20enjoy.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
