Ingredientes

  • 1 1/3 c. shortening
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking pwdr
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 c. flaked coconut
  • 1 c. maraschino cherries, minced

Direcciones

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugar. Add in Large eggs and extract; mix well. Combine flour, baking pwdr, baking soda and salt; gradualy add in to creamed mix. stir in coconut and cherries ( dough will be very stiff). Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 in. apart onto greased baking sheetd. Bake at 375 for 10 - 12 min or possibly till lightly browned. Cold on wire racks.
  2. Yield: about 6 dozen.
