Cherry Topsy Turvy Pudding

Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tbsp. shortening
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 c. lowfat milk
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 #2 can red tart, pitted cherries (don't drain), not pie filling

Direcciones

  1. Sift flour, baking pwdr and salt together. Cream shortening. Add in sugar and egg. Add in dry ingredients and lowfat milk alternately to the creamed mix. Heat cherries, water and 1/4 c. sugar in a saucepan. Empty half of the cherry mix into a greased 8 x 8 inch baking dish, pour pudding batter into the pan over cherries. Dip the remaining cherries and juice over pudding and bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 40-45 min.
