Ingredientes

  • 1 can sliced-style stewed tomatoes - (14 ounce)
  • 2 lrg green onions snipped finely with scissors
  • 1 lrg ripe tomato cored, diced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
  • 1 dsh Tabasco to taste

Direcciones

  1. Cut up stewed tomatoes and combine in saucepan with onions, fresh tomato, salt and pepper. Bring just to a boil. Boil hard 1 minute and remove at once from heat.
  2. Put half of mix through blender just to mince finely. Return to remaining half of mix.
  3. Cold and chill in tightly covered container to use within a few weeks. Freezes well to use within 6 months.
  4. For warm salsa, add in 1 tsp. canned green minced chiles or possibly jalapenos, freezing unused chiles to use in other recipes.
