Chicken Baked In Yogurt

Ingredientes

  • 3 1/2 pound broiler-fryer chicken cut into serving pcs
  • 1 c. plain yogurt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon grnd cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon grnd ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, put through garlic press
  • 1/2 c. scallions sliced diagonally in 1-inch pcs including green part

Direcciones

  1. Rinse chicken under cold water, pat dry with paper towels. In large bowl, stir together yogurt, salt, cumin, mustard, pepper flakes, ginger and garlic till blended.
  2. Add in chicken and turn to coat pcs with yogurt mix. Cover and chill at least 8 hrs. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  3. Arrange chicken skin side up in shallow baking dish. Spoon any sauce remaining over chicken. Bake, uncovered, 1 hour or possibly till chicken is tender and skin is nicely browned. Garnish with scallions before serving. Yield 4 servings.
