Chicken Fricassee ( With Meatballs)

Ingredientes

  • 2 Tbsp. Oil
  • 2 lb Chicken pcs
  • 6 Tbsp. Flour
  • 2 med Onions, diced fine
  • 2 x ribs Celery, finely diced
  • 1 lrg Carrot, diced fine
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 c. Water
  • 1 lb Minced chuck
  • 1 x Egg, beaten
  • 2 slc White bread, soaked and torn
  • 1 sm clv garlic, chopped fine

Direcciones

  1. Heat fat in large frying pan or possibly Dutch oven. Dredge chicken pcs in flour and brown on all sides in warm fat. Add in diced onions, celery, and carrot to pan and brown all for about 3 min longer. Add in 1 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper, and 1 tsp. paprika to skillet along with 1 c. water. Cover and simmer over low heat for 40 min. In a mixing bowl, combine minced meat, egg, 1 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper, crumbled softened bread, and garlic. Form into small meatballs. Place on cookie sheet with sides and bake at 350 F for 10 min. Now drop meatballs into chicken mix and cook an additional 20 min. If necessary, add in more water for gravy and taste for seasonings. Serve as appetizer or possibly main dish with rice or possibly potatoes cubed and boiled for 15 min in salted water.
