Ingredientes

  • 1 kg chicken
  • 4 Tbsp. curd (plain lowfat yoghurt)
  • 1 tsp turmeric pwdr
  • 1 c. onion, finely minced
  • 1 tsp ginger pwdr
  • 1 tsp garlic pwdr
  • 2 tsp chilli pwdr
  • 2 tsp coriander pwdr
  • 1/4 c. oil salt to taste

Direcciones

  1. Cut chicken into pcs and marinate with curd and salt and keep aside for an hour.
  2. Heat oil and fry turmeric. Add in onion and fry until light brown. Then add in ginger and garlic mixed in a tbsp of water and stir well. Then add in chilli and coriander mixed in 4 tbsps water. Stir well until oil comes out clear. Now add in the chicken and sufficient water to make good sauce.
  3. Cover and let cook on gentile fire until chicken is done.
  4. Notes:1. Cooking is about a half hour to 45 min, depending on size of chicken pcs and level of heat.
  5. All of the curd (we used plain lowfat yoghurt) curdled (no pun, I think this is how you would describe it). So, we made another batch of sauce, using all of the ingredients except the chicken.
  6. This was not warm, just spicy sufficient. You could probably spice it up with more chilli pwdr and more garlic, or possibly fresh garlic instead of powdered.
