Chicken Sates With Dipping Sauces

Ingredientes

  • 1 pkg. boneless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch strips
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 3 T soy sauce
  • 1 T brown sugar, preferably dark
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 1 c. chicken broth/stock
  • 1/4 c. shelled, skinned fresh roasted peanuts
  • 1 T fresh lemon juice
  • 1 T chopped fresh ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili pwdr
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • Salt
  • 1 jar prepared hoisin sauce
  • Light salt soy sauce

Direcciones

  1. Mix water, soy sauce, brown sugar and garlic in bowl. Add in chicken and stir to coat. Marinate for 1-3 hrs, turning frequently.For peanut sauce: Mix first 6 ingredients in blender till smooth, about 1 minute. Transfer to saucepan. Simmer till thick sufficient to coat spoon, stirring constantly, about 10 min. Season with salt to taste.
  2. For plum sauce: Place prepared hoisin sauce in bowl. Add in soy sauce till sauce is smooth, not runny, and is still able to coat spoon.
  3. Prepare grill or possibly preheat broiler. Grill or possibly broil sates 4 inches from heat source till golden and cooked through, about 3 min per side. Set sates on plate. Pass sauces separately for dipping.
