Receta Chickpea Rice
This is a Turkish Chickpea Rice recipe. To speed up the process, I use canned garbanzo beans. The terms garbanzo and chickpea are used interchangeably. If you are looking for ways to add protein into your diet, then this is a great recipe option.

- 3 T. Butter
- 14.5 oz. Can Garbanzo Beans or Chickpea
- 1 1/2 C. Water
- Salt to Taste; Pepper is optional

- *In a saucepan, melt the butter.
- *Add the rice, toast it for about 1-2 minutes.
- *Add the garbanzo beans.
- *Add water.
- *Cook for about 20 minutes.
