Chinese Pork Roast

Ingredientes

  • 1/3 c. soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 sm. onion, sliced
  • 4 green onions, cut in 1 inch lengths
  • 1/4 teaspoon grnd ginger
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 - 3 pound rib roast of pork
  • 2 tbsp. corn starch

Direcciones

  1. Combine soy sauce, lemon juice, sugar, onion, ginger, garlic and water in a mixing bowl. Place roast in the marinade; cover and chill for 8 to 10 hrs. Remove roast and place on a rack in roasting pan. Roast in a preheated 325 degree oven for 1 1/2 hrs. Remove roast to heated platter and combine pan juices with remaining marinade. Skim off fat. Add in water to make 2 c. and thicken with corn starch. Simmer over medium heat till sauce thickens and boils. Slice roast, serve and pass sauce in gravy boat.
