Chocolate Chestnut Frozen Nougat

Ingredientes

  • 14 ounce (400 g) marrons glacés or possibly candied chestnut pcs
  • 7 ounce (200 g) bitter chocolate
  • 5 ounce (150 g) butter
  • 1 c. (1/4 l) lowfat milk
  • 2 ounce (50 g) finely granulated (caster) sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 ounce (30 ml) rum

Direcciones

  1. Crumble chestnuts
  2. Line a square pan or possibly cake pan with parchment paper
  3. Cut chocolate into pcs
  4. Heat chocolate and butter in a mixing bowl over warm water
  5. Once completely melted, mix quickly with a
  6. Add in chestnut crumbs and mix again
  7. Pour into pan and set in refrigerator overnight
  8. Make custard
  9. In a bowl, mix Large eggs and sugar
  10. In a large saucepan, bring lowfat milk to a boil
  11. Stir lowfat milk into egg and sugar mix and pour into pan
  12. Cook over very low heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon
  13. When cream coats spoon, stop cooking, pour into a cool container and add in rum
  14. Stir and chill, stirring often to prevent top from thickening Set aside in refrigerator
  15. At serving time, turn out cake and slice thinly or possibly cut into cubes
  16. Place slices or possibly cubes on a small plate or possibly bowl and coat with rum cream
