Ingredientes

  • 85 gm St Ivel Golden brown Churn, (3oz)
  • 115 gm Caster sugar, (4oz)
  • 55 gm Light soft brown sugar, (2oz) A few drops of vanilla essence
  • 1 med Egg, beaten
  • 175 gm Self-raising flour, sifted (6oz) A healthy pinch of salt
  • 85 gm Plain chocolate, minced into small chunks (3oz)
  • 55 gm Hazelnuts, roughly minced (2oz)

Direcciones

  1. Cream the St Ivel Golden brown Churn and sugars together in a bowl till light and fluffy. Stir in the vanilla essence, then gradually beat in the egg.
  2. Mix in the flour and salt, then mix in the chocolate chunks and hazelnuts, mixing well.
  3. Place heaped teaspoonfuls of the mix onto two lightly greased baking sheets. Bake in a preheated oven at 180C / 350F / gas mark 4 for 12-15 min, or possibly till golden.
  4. Cold slightly on the baking sheets, then transfer to a wire rack to cold completely.
  5. Variations:Use almonds or possibly pecan nuts in place of hazelnuts.
  6. Use white or possibly lowfat milk chocolate or possibly a mix of white chocolate and minced glace cherries in place of the plain chocolate.
