Ingredientes

  • 110 gm wholemeal flour
  • 110 x plain white flour
  • 3 tsp baking pwdr
  • 110 gm butter or possibly margarine at room temperature
  • 110 gm soft brown sugar
  • 2 x Large eggs beaten
  • 4 Tbsp. lowfat milk
  • 2 Tbsp. clear honey
  • 50 gm minced walnuts
  • 50 gm chocolate chips

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to gas mark 4 350F180CYou will also need a 900g loaf tin greased and lined.
  2. First sieve the flours and baking pwdr into a mixing bowl and then add in the bits of bran remaining in the sieve.
  3. Rub in the butter to the crumbly stage and then add in the sugar Large eggs lowfat milk and honey and beat the mix well.
  4. Lastly stir in the walnuts and chocolate chips and then pour the mix into the prepared tin.
  5. Bake for 11 1/4 hrs till hard to the touch.
  6. Leave it to cold in the tin for 15 min before turning out.
  7. Allow to cold completely before slicing.
  8. Makes 8 to 10 slices
