Ingredientes

  • 2 c. all purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 c. lowfat milk (NOT low fat)
  • 1 c. dark brown sugar (packed)
  • 3 x Large eggs
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c. semisweet chocolate chips finely minced
  • 3 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1 1/2 tsp Pure vanilla Extract
  • 1 tsp salt Butterscotch filling (recipe follows)
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 c. finely minced black walnuts or possibly pecans
  • 1/2 c. shortening Chocolate Chip glaze (recipe follows)
  • 1/2 c. light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/4 c. corn starch
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 bag semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. light corn syrup

Direcciones

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 2 round layer pans 8 or possibly 9 1/2 inches. Measure all ingredients except baking soda, filling, walnuts, and glaze into a large mixing bowl. Blend 30 seconds on low speed scraping bowl constantly. Beat 3 min on high speed scraping bowl occasionally. Add in baking soda and stir in well. Pour into pans.
  2. Bake 40-45 min or possibly till cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
  3. Cold. Fill layers with Butterscotch filling, sprinkling nuts over filling.
  4. Spread chocolate chip glaze over top of cake.
  5. Butterscotch filling:Stir together sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Stir in water. Cook, stirring constantly, till mix thickens and boils. Boil and stir one minute.
  6. Blend in butter. Cold.
  7. Chocolate Chip Glaze:Heat all ingredients over low heat, stirring constantly, till chocolate is melted. Cold slightly. Cover top of cake.
