Chocolate Eclairs Cream Puffs

Ingredientes

  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • 4 Large eggs

Direcciones

  1. Mix together: 1 teaspoon vegetable shortening
  2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In large saucepan bring water, butter and sugar to rolling boil. Add in flour all at once. Stir vigorously with wooden spoon and cook for 1 minute till mix forms thick, smooth ball which leaves sides of saucepan easily. Remove from heat and cold slightly. Add in Large eggs, one at a time, till mix is shiny and smooth; breaks away in strand. Mix will separate with each egg, but continue stirring and it will smooth out and hold its shape.
  3. For Cream Puffs: Drop dough by rounded tsp. 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  4. For Eclairs: Shape into 4 x 1 1/2 inch strips. Bake 40 min till golden, fill with your favorite custard or possibly pudding. Top with glaze or possibly powdered sugar.
