- In medium saucepan, combine gelatin and lowfat milk. Let stand 1 minute, then add in chocolate chips, cornstarch and egg yolk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, till mix comes to a full boil. Reduce heat and cook 1 minute longer. Refrigeratetill slightly thickened, stirring occasionally. Set saucepan in a larger bowl of ice cubes. Add in Equal and vanilla. Beat with mixer at high speed 5 to 6 min.
- In another bowl with clean beaters, beat egg whites with salt till stiff peaks form. Fold into chocolate mix. Spoon into 6 serving glasses. Refrigerate2 hrs, then serve.
