Ingredientes

  • 1 pkt Devils' Food cake mix
  • 1/2 c. Veg. oil
  • 1/2 c. Butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 c. Water
  • 1 lb Caramels
  • 14 ounce Sweetened condensed lowfat milk
  • 1 c. Pecans, minced
  • 1/2 c. Butter
  • 1/2 c. Evaporated lowfat milk
  • 1/3 c. Cocoa
  • 16 ounce Powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla

Direcciones

  1. Combine cake mix, oil, melted butter, water and half of the condensed lowfat milk till well blended. Pour half of the mix into a greased 9x13" pan. Bake at 350 for 30 min. Unwrap caramels. In double boiler, heat caramels with remaining half of condensed lowfat milk. (takes about 15-20 min). Pour over hot cake layer. Sprinkle with minced pecans. Pour remaining batter on top. Bake 30 min or possibly till top springs back.
  2. FROSTING: Bring butter, evaporated lowfat milk and cocoa to a boil. Add in confectioners' sugar and vanilla. Beat till smooth. Spread on cake.
  3. OPTIONAL: Decorate cake with whole pecans.
