Chocolate Walnut Fudge

Ingredientes

  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. butter or possibly margarine
  • 1 can evaporated lowfat milk (5 ounce.)
  • 1 jar marshmallow fluff (7 1/2 ounce)
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp vanilla
  • 2 c. semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 c. walnuts minced

Direcciones

  1. Butter sides of a large saucepan. Line a 9X9 baking pan with foil. Butter sides and bottom of foil.
  2. In the saucepan, combine first 5 ingredients. Stir over low heat till blended.
  3. Bring to a boil over moderate heat, being careful not mistake air bubbles for boiling. Then boil slowly for 5 min, stirring constantly, to soft ball stage on candy thermometer.
  4. Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate and vanilla till chocolate is melted. Add in nuts. Turn into prepared pan. Cold completely. Lift from pan by foil and cut into squares.

  9. NOTES : Tested recipe. I adapted the original label recipe by adding the walnuts. They can be omitted if you prefer.
