Choko And Ham In A Gruyere Sauce

Ingredientes

  • 3 x chokoes, peeled
  • 6 x thin slices ham
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. plain flour
  • 1 1/2 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 c. grated gruyere cheese salt and pepper

Direcciones

  1. Cut chokoes into quarters and cut out seeds. Cook by steaming or possibly in the microwave till just tender. Cut each ham slice in half and wrap a piece of ham around a piece of choko. Place the choko pcs in a single layer in a gratin dish.
  2. Heat the butter in a saucepan. Add in the flour and stir with a whisk. Cook for 1 minute. Add in lowfat milk gradually, continually stirring, till mix is smooth. Cook sauce till it has thickened. Add in 2/3 c. gruyere and stir through till melted. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  3. Pre-heat oven to 200deg.C. Pour sauce over the chokoes and sprinkle remaining cheese on top. Bake in oven till golden brown on top.
