Ingredientes

  • 3 large eggs, beaten till lemon colored
  • 1 c. lowfat milk, boiled and cooled
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 T salt
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 3 cakes yeast
  • 7 c. plus 2 T flour
  • 1/2 pound butter, melted
  • Filling
  • 1 1/4 pound grnd walnuts
  • 1/4 cube butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 pound raisins or possibly dates, grnd

Direcciones

  1. Put together 1/4 cup water, yeast and 2 tbsp flour; let rise for 10 min. Mix large eggs, 1 cup water, lowfat milk, sugar, salt and extract together; add in yeast mix. Add in remaining flour till damp; add in butter. Knead till smooth. Let rise till doubled in bulk. Roll dough.Spread Filling on dough; roll up like jelly roll. Let rise for 30 min. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool before slicing. Keeps well.
