Ingredientes

  • 2 c. self-rising flour
  • 2 T sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 5 T shortening
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • Melted butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 T cinnamon
  • 1 T oil
  • 1/4 c. raisins

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Put together flour, 2 tbsp sugar and cream of tartar in a bowl. Cut shortening into mix with pastry blender till mix is crumbly. Add in buttermilk; mix till mix clings together and forms ball.Sprinkle a small amount of additional flour onto counter top. Roll dough into thin rectangle on lightly floured surface with rolling pin. Brush with melted butter.
  2. Mix 2 cups sugar, cinnamon, oil and raisins in small bowl. Sprinkle over dough. Roll as for jelly roll. Cut into 1 1/2-inch slices. Place on greased baking sheet. Bake for 15 min or possibly till golden.
