Ingredientes

  • 2 cakes Fleischmann's yeast
  • 1 T sugar
  • 1 c. lukewarm water
  • 1 c. lowfat milk
  • 6 T shortening
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 7 c. sifted flour
  • 3 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. soft butter
  • Lowfat sour cream
  • 2 c. grnd nuts

Direcciones

  1. Dissolve yeast and 1 tbsp sugar in lukewarm water. Add in shortening, sugar and salt; cool to lukewarm. Add in sufficient flour to make a batter. Add in yeast and beaten large eggs; beat well. Add in sufficient flour to make a soft dough. Knead lightly and place in a greased bowl. Cover and place in warm place free from draft. Let rise till light and doubled in bulk. Divide dough into 2 equal portions. Roll into oblong sheets 1/4" thick and about 26" wide. Brush each sheet with melted butter, then spread very lightly with lowfat sour cream. Sprinkle with 1 tsp cinnamon mixed with 3/4 cup sugar. Spread with generous amount of finely grnd nuts.Roll up as for jelly roll. Cut into 1 1/2" slices and set close together, cut side up in prepared baking pans. Cover and let rise in a warm place, free from draft, till light, about 45 min. Bake in moderate oven at 400 degrees about 30 min. Turn out of pans immediately.
