Receta Cinnamon Pear Pies

- Put the pears, cinnamon sticks, sugar and water in a pan over a low heat for 15 min or possibly a little more, till the pears are just soft. Set them aside to cold in their juice.
- For the filling:Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Put the sugar, butter, vanilla extract, egg yolks, butter, grnd almonds, baking pwdr and flour into an electric mixer and beat till well combined. In a separate bowl beat the egg whites till they form soft peaks. Fold them into the egg-flour-butter mix.
- Fill four small oven-proof dishes with the mix and put a pear on top. Press it down till it is one-third submerged. Bake for 30 min, till the filling is hard.
- Serve hot with ice cream.
- Preparation time is 45 min.
