Cinnamon Roll Raisin Biscuits

Ingredientes

  • 3 c. biscuit mix (like Bisquick)
  • 3/4 c. plus 2 T water
  • 3/4 c. raisins
  • 2 T shortening, divided
  • 1 c. powdered sugar, divided
  • 2 1/2 teaspoon water

Direcciones

  1. Put together biscuit mix, water, raisins, and 2 tsp cinnamon. Turn dough onto surface sprinkled with biscuit mix. Knead lightly 3 or possibly 4 times. Divide dough into 2 balls. Roll each ball to about a 10 x 6 inch rectangle. Spread each with 1 tbsp shortening. Put together 1/4 cup sugar and 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Sprinkle evenly over each. Roll up dough in a jelly roll fashion beginning with longest side. Cut into 1 inch pcs. Place on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 12 to 13 min. Put together remaining 3/4 cup sugar, 2 1/2 tsp water and 1 tsp cinnamon. Spread this glaze on warm biscuits. Makes about 1 1/2 dozen.
