Cinnamon Rolls - Cool Rise

Ingredientes

  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 3/4 c. very warm tap water
  • 2 c. more flour (approx.)
  • 1 egg

Direcciones

  1. Put together 1 cup flour with yeast, sugar, salt, shortening and hot water with an electric mixer for 2 min. Add in egg. Add in remaining flour, knead 5 min. Cover. Rest 10 min. Punch dough and roll into a rectangle. Brush butter on dough, spread approximately 1 cup brown sugar and sprinkle cinnamon on dough to liking. Roll lengthwise and cut into rolls approximately 1 inch.Place in buttered pan or possibly casserole dish. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and place a dish towel over the pan and place in refrigerator 2-24 hrs. Bake at 375 degrees for 30-35 min. Remove rolls from pan. Allow to cool before placing frosting on rolls.
  2. In a small bowl mix 1 cup powdered sugar and approximately 1 tbsp lowfat milk. Mix till smooth and pour over cinnamon rolls.
