Ingredientes

  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 kg grnd Tenderbeef or possibly lamb
  • 1 lrg onion, minced
  • 1 tsp crushed garlic or possibly 1-2 cloves fresh garlic, crushed
  • 100 gm Kiwi bacon, cut into strips
  • 2 x carrots diced, (2 to 3)
  • 2 x leeks trimmed and minced
  • 1 Tbsp. minced fresh oregano or possibly
  • 2 tsp Gregg's dry oregano
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 can Contel tomatoes
  • 250 ml Continental real beef stock
  • 1 c. sliced mushrooms
  • 2 x 400 g Wattie's Golden brown Heart potato pom-poms or possibly
  • 750 gm Wattie's golden brown potato nuggets
  • 1/2 c. Anchor grated cheese
  • 1 pch paprika

Direcciones

  1. Saute/fry onion, garlic, bacon and add in the grnd meat.
  2. Add in carrots and 1/4 of the leeks.
  3. Fold in oregano, Worcestershire sauce, tomatoes and stock.
  4. Season and simmer for 40 min.
  5. Spoon the meat mix into a large ovenproof dish, add in mushrooms and top with the potato.
  6. Lightly fry the remaining leeks till slightly wilted.
  7. Sprinkle over the potato, add in the cheese and paprika, and bake at 200 C for 30 min till golden brown.
