- Heat oven to 350 F. Grease 15x10x1 inch baking pan. In large bowl, beat brown sugar and 1 c. margarine till light and fluffy. Lightly spoon flour in measuring c.; level off. Add in flour, instant coffee, baking pwdr, salt and almond extract; mix well. (Dough well be crumbly). By hand, stir in chocolate chips and almonds. Press in greased pan.
- Bake at 350 F for 15 to 20 min or possibly till light golden. In small bowl, combine all glaze ingredients, adding sufficient lowfat milk for desired spreading consistency; blend well. Spread over hot bars. Cold completely; cut into bars.
- Makes 48 bars.
