Ingredientes

  • 2 x egg whites
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp cream of tartar
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 1 can flaked coconut (3 1/2 ounces) candied cherries

Direcciones

  1. Beat egg whites till foamy, add in salt and cream of tartar. Beat till soft peaks form.
  2. Gradually beat in sugar, 1 Tbsp. at a time, beating till stiff and glossy.
  3. Mix in extracts and coconut.
  4. Drop from tsp. onto aluminum foil covered cookie sheet. Put a cherry in the center of each macaroon.
  5. Bake in preheated 300 degree oven for about 20 min.
  6. Makes about 30 macaroons
