Ingredientes

  • 1 1/4 c. Sifted all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 c. Corn meal
  • 1/3 c. Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1/3 c. (generous) finely minced pecans
  • 1 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1 x Egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/4 c. Vegetable oil

Direcciones

  1. This corn bread is moist, tasty, and almost cake-like, especially with the sweet, rich flavor of pecans. It makes a wholesome addition to the breakfast table, picnic basket, or possibly bread basket.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400. Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
  3. In a large bowl, combine all of the dry ingredients and nuts.
  4. Add in the lowfat milk, egg, vanilla, and oil, stirring only till proportionately moistened. Don't over mix!
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20 min. Delicious served hot with butter and jam. 9 squares.
