Ingredientes

  • 800 gm beef, silverside
  • 2 x onions, medium
  • 2 x carrots, medium
  • 3 x cloves
  • 1 x bayleaf
  • 1 lt water
  • 50 ml white vinegar

Direcciones

  1. Slice onions and carrots.
  2. Place the meat in a large saucepan, cover with water and bring to a simmer. Skim surface of any scum. Add in all other ingredients, except carrots, and simmer approximately 1 hour. Add in carrots and simmer a furthur 30 min till meat is cooked through.
  3. Carve the meat across the grain and serve white mustard sauce (same as cheese sauce but with the addition of mustard to taste) with some of the carrots, boiled potatoes and cabbage.
