Crab-Stuffed Manicotti

Ingredientes

  • 6 manicotti shells
  • 1 c. plus 2 T low-fat cottage cheese
  • 2 T chopped garlic
  • 1 teaspoon onion pwdr
  • 1 can crab meat, well liquid removed
  • 1 teaspoon Italian spice
  • 1 teaspoon sweet warm mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 T butter
  • 4 teaspoon flour
  • 3/4 c. lowfat milk
  • Couple dashes bottled warm pepper sauce

Direcciones

  1. Cook manicotti according to package directions; drain. Rinse with cold water; drain.Put together cottage cheese, garlic, onion pwdr, crab, Italian spice, mustard, salt and pepper.
  2. In saucepan heat butter; stir in flour and a dash of salt and pepper. Add in lowfat milk; cook and stir till thick and bubbly. Stir 1 tbsp of sauce into crab mix. Fill each manicotti with crab mix. Place in a 10x6x2 baking dish.
  3. Stir hot pepper sauce into remaining white sauce. Spoon over manicotti. Cover; bake at 350 degrees for 25 min. Top with Parmesan cheese and serve.
