Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 Large eggs

Direcciones

  1. Bring shortening and water to boil, so shortening is melted. Add in flour and salt, all at once. Beat till ball forms (about 1 minute). Cold slightly. Add in Large eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 min. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake about 25 to 30 min. Remove from cookie sheet. When cold, cut circle out on top for filling.
  2. FILLING: Add in lowfat milk to dry ingredients slowly. Cook in double boiler 15 to 20 min till thickened. Add in egg yolks alternating as for gravy. Add in butter, cook 5 min. Remove from heat. Cold, add in vanilla. When cold, fill with filling, put chocolate frosting on top to cover where you cut.
