Ingredientes

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tbsp. cider or possibly wine vinegar
  • Salt and pepper
  • Vegetable oil
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 lbs. cod fillets

Direcciones

  1. Combine yolks, 1 c. water, vinegar, 1 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper and 1 Tbsp. oil. Gradually stir into the flour till smooth. Let stand 30 min. In a deep fryer or possibly other deep pot, heat about 3 inches of oil to 375 degrees. Cut fish into serving pcs. Dip fish into batter and let excess drip off. Slip a few pcs at a time into warm oil and cook till golden, about 5 min. Drain on paper towels.
