Ingredientes

  • 3/4 c. butter softened
  • 1/2 c. shaved bottarga see * Note
  • 12 slc day-old unseeded Italian bread or possibly baguette (to 16 slices)

Direcciones

  1. Note: Bottarga is the pressed dry Large eggs of tuna or possibly gray mullet.
  2. Combine softened butter and bottarga thoroughly in glass or possibly metal mixing bowl. Cover it tightly with plastic and place in refrigerator till needed.
  3. Toast bread till golden brown but not burned. Spread bottarga butter on top and serve immediately. This bottarga butter is also very nice tossed with pasta or possibly rice.
  4. This recipe yields 12 to 16 crostini.
