Ingredientes

  • 3 tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 6 beef cubed steak
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp. water
  • 1/3 c. dry bread crumbs
  • 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 3 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 (15 ounce.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 3 slices (4 ounce.) Mozzarella cheese

Direcciones

  1. Combine flour, salt and pepper. Dredge steaks in flour mix. Beat together egg and water. Combine bread crumbs, 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese and basil. Dip each floured steak into egg mix and dredge in crumb mix, coating proportionately. Put oil in 9"x13" cake pan and place in oven. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Place breaded steaks in cake pan and bake, uncovered 25 to 30 min or possibly till brown. Pour off drippings. Combine tomato sauce, sugar, garlic and oregano. Pour over meat. Sprinkle 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese over top. Return to oven and bake 20 min longer. Place a slice of Mozzarella cheese on steaks and sprinkle oregano over cheese. Continue baking 3 to 5 min or possibly till cheese melts. Serves 6.
