%20flat%20bottomed%20skillet%20in%20Black%20Trefoil,%20but%20I%20have%20another.%20%20Another%20SK10%20that%20is.%20%20It's%20one%20of%20those%20mystery%20patterns,%20about%20which,%20I%20cannot%20find%20any%20information.%20%20Not%20a%20bit.%20%20Not%20in%20books,%20not%20on%20the%20internet;%20absolutely%20nowhere.%20%20I%20would%20think%20that%20it%20may%20be%20a%20European%20made%20piece,%20but%20it%20has%20P-series%20handles%20on%20it,%20which%20means%20that%20it%20is%20pre-1972.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnother%20Corningware%20Mystery.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThough%20the%20skillet%20may%20be%20perplexing,%20there%20is%20nothing%20all%20that%20enigmatic%20about%20good%20old%20Mac%20&%20Cheese.%20Normally,%20I%20am%20a%20hard%20core%20%22Baked%22%20Mac%20kind%20of%20guy.%20%20There%20are%20occasions,%20however,%20when%20I%20like%20a%20good%20skillet%20Mac;%20which%20tends%20to%20be%20more%20like%20the%20%22Blue%20Box%22%20stuff.%20(without%20the%20disturbingly%20orange%20powder)%20%20I%20just%20cannot%20bring%20myself%20to%20accept%20anything%20labeled%20as%20Powdered%20Cheese%20Food%20Product%20to%20be%20actual%20edible%20cheese.%20%20This%20time,%20I%20am%20using%20Fontina%20and%20Havarti,%20but%20that%20was%20simply%20because%20they%20were%20in%20my%20refrigerator.%20%20This%20is%20just%20as%20delicious%20with%208%20oz%20of%20Sharp%20Cheddar.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESince%20this%20is%20Corningware,%20I%20went%20ahead%20and%20finished%20it%20off%20under%20the%20broiler%20to%20get%20that%20crunchy%20breadcrumb%20topping.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%204%20cups%20of%20water%20into%20the%20Electromatic%20skillet.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETurn%20the%20heater%20base%20up%20to%20425F%20Degrees%20to%20bring%20the%20water%20to%20a%20boil.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMeanwhile,%20melt%204%20TB%20Unsalted%20Butter.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20the%20Panko%20and%20stir%20with%20a%20fork%20to%20coat%20the%20Panko;%20set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20the%20Water%20in%20the%20SK10%20Skillet%20is%20begins%20to%20boil....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eadd%20the%20Macaroni%20and%20stir.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EReduce%20the%20temperature%20to%20275F%20Degrees%20and%20continue%20boiling%20the%20macaroni,%20stirring%20frequently,%20until%20almost%20all%20of%20the%20water%20has%20been%20absorbed.%20(about%208-10%20minutes)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20the%20warmed%20Milk....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAlong%20with%20the%20Salt,%20Pepper%20and%20Garlic.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EStir%20well%20and%20bring%20the%20heat%20up%20to%20350F%20Degrees,%20cooking%20for%205%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EReduce%20the%20temperature%20to%20200F%20Degrees%20and%20add%20the%20Cheese.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EStir%20until%20melted%20and%20homogeneous.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPartially%20cover%20and%20simmer%20at%20200F%20Degrees%20for%20about%2010%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMeanwhile,%20turn%20on%20the%20Oven%20Broiler.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOnce%20you%20are%20done%20simmering%20the%20cheese%20sauce,%20remove%20the%20SK10%20dish%20from%20the%20Electromatic%20Heater%20base%20and%20sprinkle%20with%20the%20Butter%20soaked%20Panko.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlace%20under%20the%20broiler%20for%20about%203-5%20minutes,%20or%20until%20all%20browned%20and%20crispy.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow%20is%20the%20time%20to%20enjoy!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhere%20is%20your%20Corningware??%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
