Ingredientes

  • 2 lb unpeeled medium-size fresh shrimp
  • 7 x bacon slices minced
  • 2 med onions diced
  • 1 lrg green bell pepper diced
  • 3 x jalapeno peppers seeded, chopped
  • 4 x garlic cloves chopped
  • 2 can diced tomatoes - (28 ounce ea)
  • 1/4 c. cocktail sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper Warm cooked grits

Direcciones

  1. Peel shrimp, and devein, if you like. Set aside.
  2. Cook bacon in a large skillet till crisp; remove bacon, and drain on paper towels, reserving 3 Tbsp. drippings in skillet.
  3. Saute/fry onion in warm drippings 5 to 7 min. Stir in bell pepper, jalapenos, and garlic; saute/fry 7 to 9 min or possibly till tender.
  4. Stir in tomatoes and next 3 ingredients. Reduce heat, and simmer, stirring occasionally, 1 hour.
  5. Stir in shrimp, and cook 5 min. Serve over warm cooked grits, and sprinkle with bacon.
  6. This recipe yields 8 servings.
