%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20days%20leading%20up%20to%20Valentine's%20Day,%20the%20holiday%20stuff%20goes%20on%20sale.%20I%20found%20one%20out-of-place%20package%20of%20mini%20silicone%20baking%20cups%20that%20turned%20out%20to%20be%20the%20last%20one.%20On%20sale%20and%20heart%20shaped,%20how%20could%20I%20not%20get%20these???%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20know%20I%20wanted%20to%20do%20something%20with%20these,%20but%20I%20didn't%20know%20what.%20Then%20I%20was%20at%20the%20grocery%20store%20and%20found%20these:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EY'all%20remember%20those%20cinnamon%20chips%20my%20mother-in-law%20brought%20back%20from%20New%20York%20last%20year?%20I%20had%20never%20seen%20them%20before,%20and%20had%20yet%20to%20run%20across%20them%20around%20here.%20Until%20last%20week.%20Hershey's%20Cinnamon%20Chips!!%20I%20was%20beside%20myself%20with%20excitement,%20so%20I%20grabbed%20a%20couple%20bags.%20:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20had%20fun%20playing%20with%20angles%20with%20the%20camera%20and%20ingredients.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHere%20I%20am,%20in%20the%20kitchen%20again,%20looking%20at%20the%20heart%20silicone%20cups%20and%20cinnamon%20chips%20and%20baking%20chocolate%20and%20then%20it%20hit%20me%20like%20a%20mac%20truck--Chili%20Brownie%20Bites!!!!%20I've%20also%20been%20wanting%20to%20make%20an%20%22adult%22%20icing%20of%20some%20sort.%20See,%20Nate%20and%20I%20went%20to%20the%20liquor%20store%20the%20Saturday%20before%20Valentine's%20Day%20as%20part%20of%20our%20'kids%20free'%20night%20courtesy%20of%20Nate's%20parents%20(a%20HUGE%20thanks%20again%20go%20out%20to%20them!!!!).%20I%20picked%20up%20Raspberry%20Vodka%20and%20have%20been%20dying%20to%20incorporate%20it%20into%20a%20sweet%20something.%20So%20I%20got%20to%20work%20on%20the%20new%20brownies.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOh%20yea,%20Nate%20was%20at%20work%20and%20Abby%20was%20napping%20in%20her%20crib.%20Kyleigh%20didn't%20actually%20sleep%20during%20naptime%20so%20she%20fell%20asleep%20on%20the%20couch%20watching%20one%20of%20her%20shows.%20:)%20Since%20I%20was%20alone,%20I%20took%20a%20lot%20of%20pictures--I've%20tried%20to%20keep%20what%20shows%20up%20on%20the%20blog%20to%20a%20minimum%20though.%20:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOne%20stick%20of%20softened%20butter%20went%20into%20the%20bowl%20of%20my%20stand%20mixer%20with%20one%20cup%20of%20sugar.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThese%20were%20beaten%20together%20until%20creamy%20and%20then%20I%20added%20one%20large%20egg.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBeat%20until%20creamier.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow%20it's%20time%20to%20beat%20in%20one%20cup%20of%20unsweetened%20cocoa%20powder.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAlso%20beat%20in%20was%20the%20flour%20mixture%20(1%20cup%20all-purpose%20flour,%201%20tsp%20salt,%201%20tsp%20baking%20soda,%203/4%20tsp%20chili%20powder,%201/2%20tsp%20ground%20allspice).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%20turned%20out%20a%20little%20dry,%20so%20I%20beat%20in%203%20Tbsp%20of%20milk.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOnce%20the%20milk%20was%20added%20in,%20it%20was%20a%20good%20consistency%20for%20forming%20dough%20balls.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20made%20them%20about%201/2%20an%20inch%20or%20so.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20shoved%20in%20about%206%20cinnamon%20chips%20into%20each%20one.%20Huh?%20Oh,%20the%20fondue%20fork.%20Yeah,%20well,%20I%20was%20looking%20for%20something%20to%20create%20the%20holes%20with%20and%20that%20was%20the%20only%20thing%20I%20could%20find%20that%20wasn't%20too%20big.%20Hay,%20it%20works.%20:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20closing%20up%20the%20holes,%20I%20placed%20the%20dough%20balls%20into%20the%20baking%20cups.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThey%20baked%20at%20350%20degrees%20F%20for%20only%2010%20minutes.%20When%20you%20open%20the%20oven%20door,%20the%20fragrance%20of%20chili%20powder%20and%20chocolate%20wafts%20into%20your%20face.%20Aaaahh.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThey%20cooled%20in%20the%20cups%20on%20the%20baking%20sheet%20for%20a%20couple%20minutes%20and%20then%20I%20turned%20them%20out%20onto%20my%20red%20plate.%20Valentine's%20Day%20may%20be%20over,%20but%20love%20is%20something%20that%20should%20be%20shared%20always,%20right?%20:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhile%20they%20were%20cooling,%20it%20was%20time%20to%20treat%20my%20self%20to%20an%20over-21-indulgence.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EA%20Raspberry%20Vodka%20Cream%20Cheese%20Frosting.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E(pictured%20below)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOn%20a%20side%20note:%20I%20do%20mention%20being%20over%2021%20for%20this%20delectable%20morsel,%20and%20I%20have%20adhered%20to%20this%20being%20atop%20only%20some%20of%20the%20Brownie%20Bites%20that%20are%20for%20the%20adults.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20that%20the%20underage%20ones,%20or%20those%20that%20just%20want%20a%20frosting%20without%20alcohol,%20can%20have%20a%20sweet%20topping%20I%20topped%20the%20rest%20of%20the%20brownies%20with%20the%20Strawberry%20Butter%20Frosting%20leftover%20from%20the%20Lil'%20Devils.%20'Course%20I%20couldn't%20go%20without%20topping%20them%20off%20with%20red%20sugar%20sprinkles!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYumm!!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
