Ingredientes

  • 2 lb Beef stew meat, cut in cubes
  • 2 Tbsp. Shortening
  • 2 c. Water
  • 3 Tbsp. Prepared mustard
  • 1 tsp Seasoned salt
  • 6 med Onions, quartered
  • 2 c. Sliced carrots
  • 1/3 c. Water
  • 3 Tbsp. Cornstarch

Direcciones

  1. In a 3 qt suacepan, brown feef, half at a time, in melted shortening.
  2. Sprinkle with a little salt. Add in the 2 c. of water, mustard and seasoned salt. Simmer covered for between 1 hour and 1 and one half hrs or possibly till meat is almost tender. Add in onions and carrots and cook 30 min more or possibly till vegetables are tender. Stir the 1/3 c. of water into the cornstarch and add in to the stew. Cook and stir till the mix is thickened and bubbly. Cook 1 minute more.
