In a bowl add all the ingredients (except oil) and make a soft dough out of it, like you would do for making chapati.

Leave it aside for a few minutes so that the sugar blends well with the dough.

Flatten the dough using a rolling pin into thinner chapatis and make diamond shapes out of it using a knife.

Heat a pan of oil and after it heats up well deep fry the pieces until they turn slightly golden brown in color. Please don't crowd the pan.

Remove from flame and serve.

You can store them in airtight containers after they cool down.

TIP 1: See that the dough is not too sticky. If so dust more flour while flattening them into chapatis.
