Dill Bread With Cottage Cheese

Ingredientes

  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 T sugar
  • 1 T instant chopped onion
  • 2 teaspoon dill seed
  • 1 c. cream style cottage cheese
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1 T butter
  • 1 lg. egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast

Direcciones

  1. In the large bowl of an electric mixer stir together 1 cup of flour, the sugar, onion, dill, salt, soda, and yeast. In a small saucepan heat cottage cheese, water, and butter till very warm. Add in to flour mix with the egg; beat on low speed till dry ingredients are moistened. Beat at medium speed for 3 min.With wooden spoon stir in sufficient flour to make a stiff dough. Cover with plastic film; let rise till double, about 1 hour. With the spoon, work dough sufficient to stir down. Put into a well-greased 8-inch round (1 1/2-quart) casserole dish; cover and let rise till double, 30-45 min.
  2. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 40 min or possibly till brown. Turn out on rack; butter top. Makes 1 loaf. Serve warm or possibly cold.
