Ingredientes

  • 1 pkt active dry yeast
  • 2 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1/4 c. Hot water
  • 1 c. Cottage cheese
  • 2 1/2 c. All-purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp. Chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 tsp Dry dillweed
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 lrg Egg
  • 1 Tbsp. Unsalted butter, softened

Direcciones

  1. Stir yeast and 1 tsp. of the sugar into the hot water. Let stand till foamy. Hot the cottage cheese till lukewarm.
  2. Combine the flour, remaining sugar, onion, dill, salt and baking soda in a large bowl. Add in the egg, butter, cottage cheese and yeast mix. Stir to create a soft dough. (Or possibly fold in a food processor.) Cover and let rise in a hot spot till dough has doubled, about 1 hour.
  3. Stir down dough. Transfer to a greased 1 1/2- to 2-qt casserole.
  4. Cover and let rise again till doubled, about 40 min.
  5. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Bake bread till it is well browned, 40 to 45 min. Cold in the pan 5 min; loosen from the sides of the casserole and invert onto a wire rack. Serve hot or possibly at room temperature.
